Itinerary
DAY 1: Arrival In Kunming
• Arrive at Kunming Changshui International Airport
• Transfer to your hotel
• Take some time to relax and adjust to the new surroundings
• Explore the local area near your hotel and enjoy a leisurely evening
DAY 2: Kunming City Tour
• Start your day with a visit to the Stone Forest (Shilin), a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its unique limestone formations
• Explore the various scenic areas and take in the stunning natural landscapes
• Visit the nearby Yi Minority Village to learn about the local culture and traditions
• Return to Kunming and visit the Yuantong Temple, one of the oldest Buddhist temples in Kunming
• Enjoy an evening stroll around the Green Lake Park (Cuihu Park) and experience the vibrant atmosphere
DAY 3: Dianchi Lake and Western Hills
• Head to Dianchi Lake, the largest freshwater lake in Yunnan Province
• Take a boat ride on the lake and enjoy the picturesque views
• Visit the Haigeng Park and enjoy a walk along the lakeshore
• Afterward, visit the Western Hills (Xishan), known for its beautiful scenery and Taoist temples
• Take a cable car up the hills and explore the Dragon Gate, a stunning temple complex carved into the cliffs
• Enjoy the panoramic views of Kunming from the hilltop
Day 4: Jiuxiang Scenic Area
• Take a day trip to Jiuxiang Scenic Area, located about 90 kilometers east of Kunming
• Explore the vast underground karst caves and marvel at the impressive stalactite formations
• Take a boat ride on the underground rivers and enjoy the breathtaking scenery
• Visit the small villages in the area and interact with the local people
• Return to Kunming and spend the evening at your leisure, perhaps exploring the local markets or trying Yunnan cuisine
Day 5: Kunming Cultural Experience
• Visit the Yunnan Nationalities Village, a cultural theme park that showcases the diverse ethnic groups of Yunnan Province
• Explore the traditional villages, watch cultural performances, and learn about the customs and traditions of different ethnic groups
• Visit the Yunnan Provincial Museum to gain a deeper understanding of the region’s history and culture
• In the evening, you can enjoy a traditional Yunnan-style dinner and watch a dynamic cultural show ( on own)
Day 6: Departure From Kunming
• Check out from your hotel
• Depending on your flight time, you may have some free time to do some last-minute shopping or explore the city further
• Transfer to Kunming Changshui International Airport for your departure
